Anjali is on the way to become a martial arts exponent. Courtesy 'Karikalan' in which she is set to share the screen space with 'Chiyaan' Vikram. The actress is currently learning horse riding and some ancient forms of fighting to equip herself for her role in the period film.
"I am thrilled to work with Vikram since he is one of my favourite actors. I will join him on the sets of Karikalan in Hyderabad from December 10," says the 'Katradhu Thamizh' and 'Angadi Theru' girl who is on a high after the success of 'Engaeyum Eppothum'.
'Karikalan' directed by visual effects expert Kannan has Anjali in the role of a revolutionary woman, who leads a group of people. While Vikram is playing Karikalan, one of the important kings of the Chola dynasty who is credited with doing various good deeds to the people.
Besides 'Karikalan', Anjali will also play the female lead in a new film to be produced by AR Murugadoss, which will have the popular director's younger brother in the lead role. She is currently acting in Sundar C's 'Masala Cafe' which has her 'Thoonganagaram' co-star Vimal in the lead.
